"Prace Filologiczne" is the oldest linguistic journal in Poland; it was established in 1884 by Adam Antoni Kryński. The latest volume (49) was published in 2004.

"Prace Filologiczne" is intended to publish papers on Polish, Slavonic and general linguistics. The authors are associated with various academic centres both in Poland and abroad (Germany, Ukraine, Lithuania, Russia, Bulgaria, France, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Byelorussia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Croatia).
